I can agree with you that there will likely be a black market of guns, but guns are a one time sale to a fairly small consumer base of people that couldn't legally get them, drugs are a repeat sale to a very large consumer base. When you sell guns you can make a little extra money on the side. If you sell drugs, you can get stinking rich.

Also a gun registry would help.
