Why isn't a discussion on how Sydney FC is a failure allowed, while a thread about how Melbourne Heart are a failure is allowed?

Personally I agree with you to a point and if you look I commented as such in the thread, however the thread does have semblance of credibility as it is in direct relation to an attempted takeover of Melbourne Heart by South Melbourne which gives the thread a certain credibility the other thread lacked.

If you wish to discuss the lack of success of Sydney FC on or of the field, then you are welcome to do so, but rather than merely making a one sentence troll comment perhaps you might like to present a reasoned and factually supported commentary arguing your point and presenting it as a topic for discussion.

An attempted takeover that was instantly shutdown as 'never going to happen' by Melbourne Heart?

In that case, that thread should be locked, and the South Melbourne users should restrain themselves to a thread in the State League football thread and limit discussion to only South Melbourne attempting to get into the A-League without discussing Melbourne Heart, because they clearly aren't going to get into the A-League by buying Heart's license.

And how is this, which is the OP of the "Melbourne Heart OUT" thread, reasoned and informed commentary that argues it's point?

To be fair, Heart/SMFC is based around some semblances of 'news', Sydney FC as a failure is purely subjective.

If you all stop being dicks and trying to push the boundaries and forcing the mods into taking action, then you wouldn't have any reason to make bs threads like this.

Everyone always whines and complains that the forums are going downhill because of the over-moderating when that's a load of bs. Its (arguably) going downhill because people keep posting troll threads and comments that amount to nothing other than to troll the other users and/or mods.
