This Sunday, my club is having an AGM as we do every year, and the purpose of these AGM's are to go through the financials, elect the board, elect the president, decide on the budget for the new year and any future goals.
Does it make some of you upset that a-league clubs are not run by the fans the way the rest of the football clubs are in this country, or do you prefer it the way it is?
Not trolling serious question

It'd be great if the A-League clubs were real clubs, not just artificial creations.
Unfortunately the shiny beads are all that mattters for Generation Y

Depends whether you want to see professional football or not, do the fans of Manchester United wish they were Sydney Olympic?

Although Manchester United are the way they are now because the original fans that ran the club decided to sell. That's the reality of professional football. The fans of Sydney Olympic will never be able to pay the costs of running a professional football club. I am more than happy to let someone pay the bills and I will be involved with the active culture of my club, voice my opinions in forums both online and physical, and decide whether I want to invest my money in a membership or not. I support grassroots and amateur football but the comparison is pointless.

Well its comparing semi pro club to so called pro clubs mate, and its done this way in a lot of clubs in europe and especially in Bundesliga so your ignorance does not make your comment correct that the comparison is pointless bud.

Not trolling serious question I'm glad our club isn't run like yours where cheating is part of your club culture. My son had a game there early in the season and they were up 1 nil at half time. All of a sudden the sprinklers came on all over the field but miraculously turned off every where but in our penalty area and stayed on for the next 15 minutes. Olympics only goal came from a goal keeper error trying to play out from a wet and greasy penalty area. If thats what you have to do to get results in kids games well all the best to your club and I wish you success in the future.
