"Millwall boss Steve Lomas is targeting Middlesbrough’s Scott McDonald according to reports.

The 29-year old Australian striker is still under contract at Boro but Millwall are hoping they can bring him to South London this summer.

The Daily Record suggests that Lomas is willing to pay £550,000 for the former Motherwell and Celtic star."

I'm going to go ahead and assume you are joking here...but was there any HAL interest in the guy? I've never seen any articles about a HAL club (or clubs) chasing McDonald.

I think if mcdonald wants to be part of the roos again he needs to come back to the a-league get more attention and eyes on him.

no. he is the most in form strike for Australia in the last 12 months. played more games then any other striker and in a better league then any other striker, and scored more goals then any other striker.

The only reason he wasn't picked is because of his poor (or nil) strike rate for the roos (no one can say it was cos of form). HO did not want to lose and have it because he persisted with McDonald.

If he doesn't play some of the friendlies or in the training camps this next 12 months it will be the biggest crock of shite since Amini not making the under 20 squad. (same goes for Williams, Herd and Lowry and Leckie) If Brosque or Thompson are selected ahead or any of these players i think Holger should really be given the arse,, keeping in mind i'm a Holger supporter, but enough is enough..
