Fuck, I'm well down the list. Starting to wish I just spent my budget in the initial auction.

I think you will find a useful chap or ten in the window...

I am pretty happy. I could get the 4th best transfer, Mignolet should get me a point in about half of the games. Weimann has been playing as a goal scoring number 10 and if he improves his shooting he could get a healthy amount. Sagbo is a bit of an unknown for but if him and Sturridge are first choice strikers they will score plenty.

There should be a rule. If you mention a specific player (and/or specific amount of cash) for a specific player someone else has, if they say yes then that deal is final.

So if I say "What would be your thoughts in player X plus 1m for player y" - that's an offer. Screw the wording/intent - if you mention one player for another in any context, that's an offer.

So then if the return to the above deal is "I wouldn't do it for player X, but I'd do it for player Z plus 1m." or "I'd do it for 2m plus player X" - they are counter offers.

It can be very simple - if an offer is made, that's "confirmation" from the original offer-er. If the answer is yes, the deal is final. If the answer is no, the deal is off. It's a total wank, a "technicality" that can be avoided, if the person being offered says yes and then the offer-er has to re-confirm it.

Keep it simple - if you link one name to another, that's an offer. If that offer is accepted - done deal.

Tbf to Vaughn I didn't read it as an offer, just him gauging interest. You could enquire about several trades at once using the same player, then depending on interest pick the trade that you want the most.

That's an offer. He never said he WANTED to trade. He ASKED if the possibility would be there.
