Ok, not sure if this has been done before, but in lieu of Man U and Liverpool's recent tours I thought it might be interesting to see what dream teams people could put together based on players from any era they have seen play in the flesh. Lets make it close to realistic formations, player positions and a 5 man bench. Think of players when they were at their peak, so for instance Jardel or Romario may be in your squad based on seeing them in the A-League but included on past glories.
My team----------------------Mark Schwarzer ----------Lauren--------Rio Ferdinand--------Lucio----------Ashley Cole ----------------------Cesc Fabregas---------Patrick Vieira ----------Juninho Paulista-------------------------------Ronaldinho --------------------------Dennis Bergkamp ------------------------------------Samuel Eto'o
Jens Lehmann Robin van Persie Patrice Evra Alvaro Recoba Alessandro Del Piero

Steve Eagleton
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Seeing as my footballing team would be just a Celtic/Liverpool comibination, thought I'd do something different.
Matthew Hayden Graeme Smith Brian Lara Sachin Tendulkar Steve Waugh Jacques Kallis Kumar Sangakkara Shaun Pollock Shane Warne Muttiah Muralitharan Glenn McGrath
EDIT: Forgot I saw the World XI play.

Saw manure play socceroos back in the 90s.
Have seen most socceroos squads since
Saw netherlands play socceroos
Seen every notable hal player
My list would be more exciting if we were doing "who have you played with and against"

Edited by Funky Munky: 26/7/2013 06:48:28 PM Hayden Cook Ponting Tendulkar Lara Kallis Gilchrist Warne Steyn Akhtar (the most terifying spell of bowling I will ever see) McGrath I hope those who left out Ponting never saw him in the flesh. Best footballer I've seen would be Andrew Johns. I was at his last SOO game at Suncorp and he controlled a sporting field like no one I have ever seen, or will probably see in my lifetime. He had 50,000 people screaming for his blood and he thrived on it. My football team would look pretty weak and would only consist of Socceroo/A-League players
