There's talk around that MH are looking to sign Orlando Engelaar, a 33 yo Dutch international.

He is said to be in Melbourne and was apparently at a training session. Could be a very good signing. Mind you, his market value is listed as 500K euros. Would likely take some serious $$ to sign him.

He also recently trialled with West Ham.

I remember him from when we played holland at the SFS a few years ago he's a giant a tad on the slow side but was very good on the ball will be a excellent signing

He would be a fantastic signing. Played for some very good clubs Schalke, twente and Breda.

14 caps for holland. A very decent signing. He looks a bit like gerhardt.

Almost worth a marquee spot

Rubbish player with limited technical ability. His best is well behind him. Not marquee quality.

IF FIT would be a quality addition - but there's a reason he was released by PSV. Just over 90 minutes football last season, split over 4 games; only 13 games the season before that (of which he only played 90 minutes once).

As I say - if he's fit... Good work.

Agree with Bejamin, if he's fit he could be a quality signing.

I haven't seen him play in a few years mind you but he was a very handy DM which is an area that clearly needs strengthening for the Heart. The man is a beast of a DM though, limited technical ability and goal threat (besides set piece situations) so probably shouldn't be a marquee but if he comes under the cap and gets into peak shape he could be immense.

Bit of a worry the mount of games in the last 2 seasons. Hopefully he's fit. We need a strong Melbourne Heart team.

People must remember that the A-League isn't anywhere near as mentally or physically taxing as any European league. If a player hasn't played much in recent seasons, it's gonna be easier for them to play one game a week for 6 months rather than one, sometimes two or three a week for 8 months. He'll be a good signing if it eventuates.

That would be a great addition.

A few clubs seem to be chasing him so getting him could well be a great move, as he is young and has good experience so far, including a socceroos cap.
