Contreras would be a good pick up...but I wouldn't want him as a marquee. Man can help organise the defence, but he is slow and, IMO, isn't the kind of defender that has great positioning to help out with his lack of speed.

Underwhelming from a marquee point of view imo. If he's quality on the pitch though then I'll take him, but unfortunately cant help being disappointed after chasing Karagounis/Miccoli/Gallas.

Better be a damn good player, because 2 marquee 'failures' in a row would be disastrous.

Hopefully somehow it's only a cap signing, however unlikely.

I've not seen him for awhile now, but was always quality for the Chilean NT. As I mentioned, sometimes he could get caught out of position, but the man was going up against better strikers playing through South American Qualifiers.
