Fucking Babel. Why he didn't take that shot earlier on #-o . Still, Liverpool stole the win they deserved.

Torres' ball that just slowly rolled past and hit the upright, that possession was a carbon copy of his goal against United.

Poor poor spurs. That blew up all over them. Poor poor Newcastle. So much for Shearer giving them a leg up.
Most importantly, LIVERPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!! YOSSI the fucking star saves the day again.

jimmy240290 wrote:MOTM last night was the travelling kop, they were brilliant, it was like a home game They were fantastic last night. Every time they showed there were massive chunks of red breaking up the dull black and grey of rain coats. Liverpool had chances galore last night and Babel failed to take sooo many of them. Should have hit about three first time but he dallied on the ball. I can't see him improving any further. I think Dossena played a good game on the wing and I was really impressed with Insua, the lad is going from strength to strength and he was looking solid at LB until he got booked. He played a better game than Arbeloa IMO.

Thats harsh. He had one or two half chances, no glaring misses. Riera still is better though. Insua wasnt that great. Arbeloa was a lot better imo.

I cant recall Arbeloa making a mistake. Not to say he didnt though.
Insua looked a bit sluggish at times and his clearances were a bit poor. I think offensively he was great but as a defender he could have done more. Solid performance though.
Dossena was good. Hit the bar twice. Dont mind him at LM. He loves to get involved in the attacks. Can be a real nuisance.
I think our passing was a little off all game though. Alonso made mistakes, he usually doesnt make any, Skrtel made a few which could have been costly.
Torres for mine is a bit too predictable when he receives the ball in the box. About 3 or 4 times the defender was just able to get a foot in when if they hadnt he would have been able to get a shot off.

Babel had a chance at about the 85th minute to put the ball in the back of the net, he was unmarked in the box and he chose to take two touches and turned the ball over when he could have got a clean shot away if he hit it first time. What was wrong with Insua's game?? He played nigh perfect overlap with Dossena and hardly missed a tackle until he got booked. He ran hard all game, was up for it right up until the final whistle and he's constantly improving, even as the game wore on you could see him getting better, more confident.

Good one to have on the books. Quote:Dossena was good. Hit the bar twice. Dont mind him at LM. He loves to get involved in the attacks. Can be a real nuisance. I still prefer Riera. Dossena went missing in spells Quote:I think our passing was a little off all game though. Alonso made mistakes, he usually doesnt make any, Skrtel made a few which could have been costly. I remember the occasions your thinking of. He tried to knock it past and just got held up. Not his best day. Afro - if Babel hadv hit it first time, probably wouldv been blocked. He should have hit it though.

Quote:I think our passing was a little off all game though. But we could have had a lot more possession if our passing was a little tighter. Quote:Torres for mine is a bit too predictable when he receives the ball in the box. I think that boils down to how we were trying to get the ball into the box. There's only so many ways you can deal with the looping ball over the top and he did what he could with what little he had to work with. Quote:I still prefer Riera. Dossena went missing in spells So does Riera at times, they're both capable and there's plenty of reasons to play each of them. Dossena's proving himself more in the left wing now and we're looking more solid than ever on the left with Aurelio, Dossena, Riera and Insua. Quote:Whoever marked him did a fantastic job. I remember the occasions your thinking of. He tried to knock it past and just got held up. Not his best day. Hangeland, the man's a champ. Quote:Afro - if Babel hadv hit it first time, probably wouldv been blocked. He should have hit it though. At least he would have got the shot off rather than turning the ball over to Fulham for the clearance.
