This has been a pretty good game of football. Newc havnt looked much better after HT.

Newcastle arent shutting down. They are letting Spurs dictate.

It's not all about stats, Viduka is more of a natural targetman and has a great eye for the through pass (if he can go 40 mins without being injured that is >_> ) which tactially may be what Newcastle need to get back into the match.

Except he has 3 assists in 2 bloody seasons!

Carroll has 3 goals this season. In 10 games. None last season. Viduka has 1 assist in 6 games, 1 start though. If my memory serves me correctly it was that delightful backheel. No goals. Viduka scored 7 last season though. Carroll none. Just a question whether Viduka still has it. I think he can come up with something though if you put him on. Carroll was the best man to start, no one else fully fit, but Viduka is a better player.

For this game, I thinkDukes might be a little bit isolated. He wont run and chase the ball, and if you arent dictating, and he doesnt get the ball, he will be ineffective. Just like Carroll has been.

I still think its a good idea to bring him on, and he will come on eventually. Just depends if its him or Oba/Ameobi first.

Assists are overrated its rare for someone to actually appreciate the buildup play he may not have gotten the final pass before the goal but he has helped set up many goals uncredited, as a whole I tend to ignore assists because alot of the time the set up and build up play involve more than two people.

They should go to a back 3. Forget about dropping the two wide men back. And they should whack it long to BOTH Carroll and Viduka to knock it down to BOTH Obafemi and Owen. Just have Carroll and Owen on one corner of the 18yard box and Oba and Viduka on the other corner. So they dont jump on each other.

Ameobi is almost as bad as caroll we need martins and Viduka. Who cares if martins is injured. We need to gamble now.
