A national title without the involvement of one of the biggest leagues... Hollow.

I am really hoping Victoria is going to be ready for next year. Tasmania's best team might like getting a bye next year but it would be a shame to only have 7 leagues being represented. Especially if we are missing what is arguably the biggest league. (Although I would quite happily watch a NSW team kick their arse in the final)

I don't buy into the my state is better than yours thing - NSW and VIC are pretty evenly matched - there's plenty of players over there that we'd love to bring over here (and vice versa I'm sure).

Hopefully the FFV will see sense and take a step back - let the clubs move forward as has happened throughout the country. We would have a 14 team NPL with regional representation, higher coaching standards, whatever PPS can be agreed with the PFA, etc. And it could start next season.

Well done Sydney united 58 FC on being crowned national champions. A standard has now been set and with northern NSW, WA and hopefully VICTORIA next year it's only going to get better and better.

Question should Sydney united 58 get an automatic berth into the FFA cup at the stage the a-league clubs join in?

If there are football fans there who can't get behind an a-league team for some reason see if you can find an NPL team to support.

Either a new board, or a new organisation altogether. Looking at the independent audit of their accounts it shouldn't be hard to do a better job by simply servicing the clubs within the league.
