Teen arrested following stabbing - Redfern

A teenager is assisting with inquiries following a stabbing in Sydney’s inner-city.

Police were called to the intersection of South Dowling and Cleveland streets about 10.15pm (Saturday 9 November 2013), following reports of a brawl.

Officers from Redfern Local Area Command attended and found a man with a stab wound to the torso.

He’s been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Another man was treated for a wound to his hand.

Police have been told a number of men became involved in an altercation after leaving a nearby soccer match.

A 16-year-old male was arrested at the scene and taken to Redfern Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Investigations are continuing and anyone who witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it, and hasn’t already spoken to police, is urged to contact police.

Wheres your evidence that they were from the cove? or your evidence about those details? Are you part of the investigation? And why smear the whole 100s of cove members because of the acts of '20'?

20 cove jumped 5 MV fans and stabbed two of them while they were heading back to their hotel and then again at the hotel itself.
