Wow Liverpool just can't catch a break. 1-1.
Meanwhile Arsenal win 4-1. Fab scored 2, Nasri 1 and Diaby 1. Hells yea!

Fiorentina wont lose against debrecen who are a very poor side. Edited by seriously: 5/11/2009 08:38:55 AM

The best you can hope for is making the top 4, but even that wont be easy this season. Especially with the lack of depth in Liverpool's squad.

Thats just the story of our season really. Getting shit we dont deserve. Rafa has no idea this season, he has really lost the plot. Kyrgiakos or however you spell it fucked up just then and Lyon drew the game in the 90th minute. A player Rafa bought. He needs to be sacked. He's running you guys into the ground.

Rafa just needs to be able to spend some money. I think he got his tactics spot on and a player he bought cheaply because the owners wouldn't fork out for a decent player (Shawcross, Turner) that wouldn't have made the error/s Kyrgiakos does.

Let me guess he sucked? and thats why arsenal won 4-1. But playing against arsenal is enough for pim anyhow, the 4th rate manager.

Also i dont like how Rafa and some liverpool supporters [Not necessarily on 442] harp on about Aquilani being injured and when he comes in the team will be better. The sad story is rafa knew he was going to be out this long and really should have thought of better

Agger, Johnson, Riera, Aurelio, Skrtel, Aquilani, Gerrard are all either first team regulars or always pushing for a starting spot.
Horrible injury dilemma.

Horrible injury dilemma. like i said you cant put aquilani there as he has always been injured since he moved and was always going to be.. Even with these players out they should be able to beat teams like Fulham Sunderalnd + maybe Villa..... At teh end of the day Rafa should never have sold Robbie Keane

He should never have bought Robbie Keane tbh. Never gave him a real chance to settle. Was a complete waste.
I can definitely sympathise as we've had an injury crisis for like the last 3 seasons. BUT, I think Liverpool came into this season on the back foot. This is all just my opinion and feel free to disagree as you all probably know more about Liverpool than me, but imo Liverpool have the worst depth out of the top 4. Their youngsters, bar maybe a couple, are not anything special and are definitely no where near ready to provide cover for a couple of weeks. This is why Liverpool are failing. Rafa came into this season boasting a strong 11, but outside of that, the team is quite weak, especially in comparison to the other top 3 teams.
This is a pretty bad stroke of luck with all these injuries and it's exposing the holes that Rafa has let his side develop. That and he has made some serious blunders this season and there have been way too many "wtf!?" moments about choices he's made.

Rafa's biggest regret this season will be selling Xabi Alonso.
And have to agree Pool just don't have the depth to cover for injuries.

But i stand by my robbie keane call.. I feel he got an unjust amount of stick while at Liverpool. His play was good and got a few goals and assists.... its hard to inagine he was suck a flop in a year that liverpool scored the most amount of goals out of any English team and Robbie keane was only there for half the season with 7 goals and 5 assists in 21 starts and 3 subs.... I think if rafa stuck with him he would have been better off than he was for selling him....

With Alonso, being such an integral part of the team, I would have waved his contract under his nose and said you're not going anywhere. Then I would sit back and see. If he performs well then I would have given him a raise. If he did a Lescott, I would have HELD OUT FOR MORE MONEY THAN WHAT LIVERPOOL SOLD HIM FOR!!

Paulton Rovers 0-1 Norwich 16' (FA Cup) This ground is so funny. It's literally a park ground but with some shelter around.

From what I gather, Alonso only started wanting to leave the previous summer when he got wind that he wasn't wanted, specifically through the Arsenal business and the pursuit of Gareth Barry. So it's not so much that Benitez couldn't do anything about the lad wanting to leave, it seems it's more a case that he pushed him toward the door and then said "Please don' leave."
