Neither can I justify spending $10 to watch South Melbourne these days, because it's bloody awful - but at least there's a bit of passion there.

Benjamin wrote:It's no wonder you've got such a downer on Holman if you're only comparing him to EPL/CCC.. Watch a few A-League games and you'll understand why you get so much stick for being critical of him. ;) He honestly would fit right in (not saying it as an exaggeration either). Some people get pure luck in their careers, Holman is one of them. Must of just had a one off during his trial. The rest is history. Edited by seriously: 8/11/2009 01:22:52 AM

ERGH! Wrong :P In other tips, Im going to tip Sunderland 2-1 Spurs, two Darren Bent strikes either side of a Robbie Keane goal. Beat you to it. As for the prediction - Kenwyne Jones and Lorik Cana both suspended, paper thin midfield, I don't fancy our chances tonight.

Sunderland: Gordon, Bardsley, Turner, Da Silva, McCartney, Malbranque, Henderson, Richardson, Andy Reid, Bent, Campbell. Subs: Fulop, Ferdinand, Nosworthy, Murphy, Meyler, Healy, Adam Reid. Im confused. It looks like you have 4 wingers there. Richardson, Reid, Henderson, Malbranque - arent they all naturally wide players?
 Murphy on the bench. :P
Emerton starting for Rovers

Edited by imnofreak: 8/11/2009 01:28:31 AM Aye - all nominally wide men. Richardson is better when he plays in attacking midfield than out wide, and Reid's alright in the middle. Problem is - none of them is a ball winner, so we're going to have to rely on Spurs passing badly or we'll never get anywhere near the ball. Murphy, Meyler and Reid on the bench shows how small our squad is. Meyler and Reid are decent enough but have zero experience between them.

There is a sad thing i just realized about this match. Swansea play better football than Australia. Pim = League 2 coach. Longball to kennedy and 8 defenders.

Edited by seriously: 8/11/2009 01:32:52 AM Be fair mate, Swansea only have to play Cardiff. Pim has to put a side out against 'top' international opposition like Oman. ;)

Im sure if football had 20 players per team, under Pim Verbeek 15 would stand on the goal line for , 3 Dms, 1 MF, and Josh Kennedy up front

Refs are refs, doesn't matter where you are in the world, they will all either f*ck you or save you. No sense worrying before it happens! I'm going to give this 15 minutes then skulk off to bed. Kids had me up at 6am this morning. Edited by Benjamin: 8/11/2009 01:58:57 AM

Some wonderful slick passing from Sunderland there. Spurs better wake up quick otherwise they will find themselves down. Sunderland seem to always start very brightly.
