Stuart Atwell really isn't doing himself any favours this season.

He's a tool. Gave the goal. Then ran over to his assistant to check the rules. Either you know or you don't. It's not as if there was anything the assistant could have seen that the ref didn't.

Couldv'e been asking if the ball was stationary or not. Or if it was on the spot of the foul when it was kicked.

The thing is surely common sense should prevail in this situation where you can clearly see Turner is just passing it back to his keeper. Should have blown the whistle as soon as Torres touched it to avoid any controversy.

Then again this is Stuart Atwell we are talking about, so common sense doesn't really come into it.
