They could of paired up the 9 a-league teams with local teams eg Jets vs Broadmeadow or Cardiff and then paired up 5 other matches between state teams from the same state.

The saving on not having to transport 14 teams would be approx $300K you could give approx $10K to each team from these savings

Might as well include teams from the Special Olympics the way the draw is structured. You have got the top teams playing some of the worst minnows and I thought that is the way the draw is structured where it should have been completely random.

Clearly when deciding whether to play in NZ or NSW, Adelaide decided to go for the cooler weather.

Trust our luck to get the worst fixture of the lot.
