500 lux is not the requirement for TV broadcast, thats only a playing standard. Leichardt Oval is 500 lux but for NRL they need to bring it up over a 1000 for broadcast. Of course thats for a quality broadcast you could get away with 500 but 200 lux would be really dingy.

Edited by nickk: 5/8/2014 12:47:20 PM Yeah I reckon the Magic vs Strikers game last week was about 500, good enough but nothing special. 800 Lux is enough for a good quality Standard Definition broadcast and for HD you would want about 1100-1200. But 500 Lux is the minimum for a professional footballer to play a competitive match according to the Australian Standard, whether it's broadcast or not.

Oh by the way, if anyone is interested tonight South Horbart has arranged for a live stream of their match against Tuggers ( Tuggeranong United ) to be shown on their youtube channel: Link: http://www.southhobartfc.com/So for any Canberra or Hobart fans out there it should be a good night :) Match starts at 7:30pm.

Word from the Jerks is they've sold 4000 tickets to tonight already, and they're expecting it to sell out (capped at 6 or 7k).

Or football/FFA Cup fans who have no other options \:d/ Yeah it actually gives people without Fox an option to watch a game. Two of the smallest clubs in the competition so it will be an interesting and intriguing match to watch. I am still wondering why there are not more streams going up by clubs for their FFA Cup matches, perhaps FFA itself should have arranged these things.

I agree, Wellington are in some form already and I think they will progress.
