So the rumour was true. #-o :-({|= ](*,) It's fucking annoying, but from a commercial pov I can understand it. I'd accept it more if Foxtel were broadcasting EVERY match live, but since they're not, this is just frustrating. I wonder if this includes next years Ro32. Still shit, but unsurprising given the FFA. If the streams hadn't been so popular this wouldn't of happened, so maybe the silver lining is that the FFA & Foxtel up their game from next season and broadcast the whole fucking schedule.

Works out perfectly that I'm on my mid uni semester break that week. Beers at the club, and food is amazing, but i am bias. Should be beers at the ground, there was at our last fixture against Heat, however due to the large expected crowd, i am expecting no service of alcohol. Definitely in regardless. I'll buy you SU lads a couple beers if you're not driving too far afterwards. :P Not that I condone drink driving, but I know it happens.  i am a local and will take the next day off. ;) 'Atta boy. Definitely in for pre/post game beers & shenanigans.

Starting to get very worried this delay in announcing venues is the FFA trying to find a reason to move it away from Edensor Park

There was a good article in the Advertiser today, which I can't seem to find an online copy of, which outlined that the SAASL was willing to speak to the FFA about what would be required to join the FFA cup. it also went on to explain a bit about SAASL and why it is so popular here (ie costs). Also stating there are 87 clubs registered with the SAASL and 29 with FFSA. With the FFSA having a total of something like 18,000 registered players.
Does anyone have a copy or template of it?

But if they do, I really hope the FFA announces it's for player protection due to the artificial surfaces. The rage on here is going to be like bacon in pancakes.

I will miss the slices of cheese though, hopefully it's true that they're just banning them for the rest of this season, as every matchday will be covered from now on.

Palm Beach's ground is pretty gash though. Not sure what the lighting's like either.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Wow, that is a nice ground. Good to see all seats are undercover with the atrocious weather that's been around ACT and NSW lately.

Clubs streaming games is what has helped make the Cup so popular thus far. Sure as shit wasn't from tweeting bits of information here and there on websites. Without those streams, Fox wouldn't even have footage for their highlights packages ffs. -PB

They could've simply allowed the clubs to stream the games and requested there to be a Foxtel watermark above the on screen scoreboard. It's essentially free advertising ](*,)

Edited by schultzy: 27/8/2014 01:43:11 PM There's probably more like 70 senior mens clubs registered with the FFSA, because the Collegiate Soccer League, and some of the country leagues (Riverland, Broken Hill, Western Border and Port Lincoln (i think))are as well. The SA Masters league has more over 35's clubs, that are also FFSA aligned. All the junior associations are FFSA aligned so that would make up the bulk of the 18,000 registered players. I don't think the FFA will allow non-FFA aligned clubs into their Cup competition. It might be an incentive to tempt some SAASL clubs back into the FFSA fold.
