Bentleigh got lucky meeting Blacktown in a minor slump before they came good with a 7-0 demolition of the NSWPL leaders on their way to winning the grand final. The Bentleigh coach and captain both said they were very lucky to get through. Best player that night was the keeper by far. Then they get Olympic 48 hours after playing a very competitive and taxing 120 mins in the grand final whereas Bentleigh played on Friday.

Good turnout tonight for the Tuggies, Victory just far too good.

Hopefully people don't get turned away by the scoreline or the dominance of the Victory.
If anything I view tonight as a positive for the FFA Cup - Another televised match day, and a crowd record. Love the Suburban grounds on tv.

Can't wait for the derby next week!

The view at QSAC was actually pretty good. First half was pretty dire. CCM just passed it around the back for the majority of the half. Olympics pressing and tracking runs was horrendous, their lb & rb had shockers first goal should never of happened.

Second half was enjoyable Olympic were well on top and scored a great goal they also had a shout for a handball in the box by Anderson but I thought it hit his chest.

The last goal was very unlucky.

Wouldn't be surprised if Way gets a contract in the A-league, looks a lively players. Thought Sim was the Mariners best.

Crowd was 1,374 I think.

Many a cevapi to be had at the Sydney derby next week.

It didn't help that last week our best midfielder did his acl, 10 minutes into this game you lose your starting cb and then 10 minutes later lose your cdm.

Jake McLean however is a real talent. Got a double against knights and the goal tonight was superb! Turned caceeres then plays a one two for a tidy finish past Reddy! A-league teams give this boy a trial 3 goals 2 games.

Yes forgot about mentioning the injuries, very unlucky.

Barely noticed Caceres tonight, thought Cernak had a bigger impact on the game then him. :shock:

Went out to Adelaide city vs Brisbane strikers.

City really should have done strikers by 4-5. Some great chances missed and many great saves by the keeper. I was quite dissapointed with the standard by strikers tbh

So was I, not sure how they compare with the other teams but if that's the 4th best side in NPLQ then the competition is probably higher quality here. They looked better physically but the football played by AC was far better.
