Nice to see no histrionics from the cops, the crowd, the commentators or the director when the flares got ripped. Just got on with the football while they were quietly extinguished. Exactly as they should. And clearly someone had a word to Simon Hill after his hissy fit last time.

3500 at Knights Stadium, damn good.

Got back home from Knights Stadium, was a great night. Stood behind the Dinamo fans and really enjoyed it. Was hoping St Albans got up and drew Victory in the next round but it wasn't to be. Only blight on it all was on supporter throwing a can at Jamieson, thought that was pretty poor form.

Highlights:

- Entertaining FFA Cup Football
- Victory fans asking Mitch Nichols how Japan went

Cup QF's are scheduled for Tuesday nights on 14th, 21st and 28th October and 4th November.

I would think the Bentleigh and Adelaide City would be quite keen to play early on due to their NPL season being finished, and Palm Beach will finish either this week or next so you would think they won't be any later than the 28th.

I reckon Glory vs Victory is going to be a tough one to fit into the A-League schedule with Glory playing on Sunday prior to the first 3 dates and Victory on the Monday before the last one. I reckon it would make sense to either play it on a Wednesday (perhaps on the 29th) or "shift" one of the A-League game dates by a day or to later on in the season to make more room.

I guess we will hear more later in the week or early next week.

Those 3 bays are closed due to structural issues. SydCro58 pointed out that the stands are 'sinking' A lot easier and cheaper to close off 3 bays than repair that part of the stadium, especially when SU58 haven't gotten a crowd like that in 10+ years.

Yep, had to play a re-scheduled mid week game -> NPLQ Semis -> NPLQ Final -> NPL Quarter Final -> FFA Cup R16 -> NPL Semi Final this wekeend.

Not to mention a training game against Roar mid week.

SFS should be available. I don't see why we can't play there. Aside from that, Kograh is probably the next best available.

I was just thinking, even if sfs is available, you may only get between 10-12k (weeknight) , but in a smaller venue, you would have a difference experience, perhaps better. The game is on tv too, so people with children may sit this one out.

The smallest crowd for this round was over 2.3k. Absolutely fantastic for the game to see so many people support there local club.
