It turns out that Eli Babalj has never scored against Melbourne Victory. Perfect opportunity to do that.

Watching the draw unfold really shows how silly the seeding system is.
If the draw was open the 3 npl teams would more then likely have drawn an A league opponent, at least make it that from the quarter finals it's an open draw or something.
From a financial point of view Heidelberg getting city is about as good as winning the tournament so they will wrapped even though it means elimination most likely.

I certainly enjoy having all the extra, novel teams in the comp.:)
It also helps that the HAL a teams are right in the middle of pre-season, while the NPL clubs are at peak fitness at the end of their seasons.
