Due to the recent issues in the last fortnight with this forum, and the fact the anti-spambot took to me like an Israeli F-16 to a Palestinian home, tipping for this round has become difficult and disorganized.
If you did not submit your tips for the two matches last night, never fear - nor did I. You can still submit your tips for the next two games. I understand some people may have lost interest in the tipping comp. Just submit your tips normally.
Yeah I was gonna tip Victory and Hume anyway cheers bud :) Course you were. I bet you were going to predict 3-1 scores for Victory and 3-2 for Hume as well.

Last year aggregate attendance was 93,820.
This year we have 73,590 so far with 5 games to go. An average just above 5k a game would see us crack the 100k mark, which i expect to be passed easily.

Sure Melbourne Victory, Sydney and Adelaide can be excused as they have ACL commitments to contend with during the A-league season, but I think its this year A-league teams are showing their true colours and treating FFA Cup as a "Mickey Mouse competition."
Edited by helloworld1992: 24/9/2015 03:17:28 PM Its also a good chance to test out fringe players. Make no mistake these guys have to up their game against opposition which crave for their roles in a professional environment.

Agree with this, hence why I can sympathize with Arnie fielding a lot of second stringers and youth players in our two-game FFA Cup run this season. Combine this with the fact the cup run starts very early in our (and most A-League clubs pre-season), but I can't help but maintain this feeling that we took it as nothing more than A-League preparation. I'll go out on a limb and say most football supporters would view and FFA Cup in their trophy cabinet a bigger success and prize than say the A-League Grand Final. If not now, at least when the FFA/AFC recognize the FFA Cup as the knockout-cup competition and the winner qualifies for a full Champions League spot.

I have to disagree with the term 'weaker' because it is a relative term. While the teams may not be made up of the best players on paper, when you consider the fact that there were only 4-6 weeks of preseason before the first two rounds would suggest that the teams sent out would have been the best placed to get a result.

Also, does anyone know if the A-league NPL teams get a cup spot in their respective state cups and if they are allowed to enter the FFA cup should they make it that far?

Ripe to be knocked off thou, Missing a few first choice starters. IF they were going to do it they have a chance. Remembering if it was not for 2 magic mooy set pieces we may not of even made it this far.

Gameiro the only one that hurts the team to be out.
