We were fortunate to come away with that win, given how many chances we butchered again and a number of interesting no-calls through the game.

Disappointed that we didn't get more people at the game, but i suspect that it was because it was a school night - plenty of families go to Victory games, so take away the possibility of kids going and their parents are unlikely to go either.

The pricing of tickets doesn't help either - the FFA would have been better of reducing the price of each ticket category by say $5 to encourage more people through the gate to generate atmosphere.

Well done to the Hume City supporters, they certainly made a lot of noise thanks to having what sounded like the entire percussion section of a marching band, there were also quite a few also dotted throughout the crowd on the western side.

Hope we lift fthe intensity for the final.

I really hope to God that Perth win, not even because of my obvious hate for victory but because they have been dicked 2 years in a row. Time and time again FFA favour NSW and VIC instead of the other states with no consequences.

I agree the game should have been held at Hume City's ground, or maybe even somewhere like South Melbourne, and I'll grant that tickets were perhaps a bit steep, but for a semi final it's a poor crowd, and disappointing to see.

Back home and rather disappointed with the turnout as others have mentioned, but I suppose it is understandable after I looked at my Cat B ticket which was $40 including ticketek's pound of flesh, which I suppose for many was a bit much for a state team that we don't have any rivalry with in a competition that is still taking hold.

Final will be another affair entirely.

Tickets were way too expensive for what was always going to be a shite game against a random NPL side that we've played 2-3 times in Pre-Season. Seriously what the fuck did people expect?

There was nothing about this fixture that was remotely interesting bar the fact it was a semi final. There is no "Magic of the Cup" to get people interested when the game was held at AAMI Park, Hume City are a boring club with a handful of fans and only reached the VPL for the first time in 2007 and there was never going to be anything close to a contest, a result was never in question. Sounds like a shite night at the football tbh, wouldn't blame anyone for staying in the bars in richmond or at home instead.

Anyway, I'm happy with the ordinary attendance. Hume will make very little off the gate and NPL clubs will think twice about stupid venue decisions.

What mt says is right. We play Hume every preseason. Its a nothing match. I can just wait for next preseason and walk in for free. All of a sudden they want to charge me 50 plus.
