I miss the new posts/no new posts/locked threads icons. I notice they're still at the bottom of the page though.
Edit: Oh wait they're still there, that's what those dots are running down the left hand side

News posts no longer propagate to the forum.
Joffa will have a lot more work to do.

Surely that should come under the features menu?

Also I've noticed the little logo in the tabs is different on the main page, but the same in the forum.
And the polls were really messed up, the middle graphic of the bars for votes stretched like 400 pixels vertically!
Edit: I see you've fixed the latter already, good stuff. I'm sure someone else has bought up that the pictures beside the thread titles that tell you if you've read it are tiny now? Also when using "active topics" unread threads used to be bold but no longer are.

before it was simple to see a variety of news on the homepage and it was organised under appropriate subheadings. Now the news is an amalgamation of all football news across the world? There are other sites for that, your site was great for finding the aussies headlines in one spot.
Now you want me to click on the menu headers and open the Aleague page and then do the same for the Socceroos? That's poor web design. Making your core product a lot more difficult to find is a sure way to piss off your fans. It really just seems like a whole bunch of random articles on the homepage now, with no structure to the site at all.
There needs to be a latest news for "Australia' and then the world. Not all in one. This is the Australian 442, not the English one!
Did focus groups really tell you they liked this?

The main carousel will always be the latest Australian news which is where almost all our traffic comes from.
Older news can be instantly found via the submenus, split into specific sections for ease, and we will also have the latest news from around the world as it comes in.
On busy days we can extra carousels as needed.

Very average effort on the redesign. From an iPhone the navigation bounces all over the place.
Did anyone test this for two minutes before signing it off?!

Having the same problem as Juzz on my phone (iPhone, with the small footballs)
Looks fine on Safari though.
Gutted that stories wont feed through to the forums though, that's a real shame.

Balls are back to normal for me on Chrome on Windows.
Shame about the articles, maybe someone with coding ability could make some sort of Joffabot to do it automatically?

If these fonts are not returned to a decent state, I will consider a full boycott of the forum and encourage others to join. This is your warning.

my 2cents, The new look website is nice, clean and fast but it will take some time to get used to as all changes do. Not having a single account for the forum and comments is annoying for sure. I don't like this huge "related stories" section under the main article and before the comments, I wish it was off to the side of the article instead. It disconnects the two which is not the point, I don't think anyway. What is with the huge advert above the Australian news aticle grid? that is a wopping massive thing. It's enough to drive you batty if you are on the homepage for any length of time. I would have thought that space would be better suited to a webpage banner or design, but hey I guess you have to make money somehow.

So many snide comments, so little time. inb4 shitty comeback. ducky42 wrote: I will consider a full boycott of the forum and encourage others to join. This is your warning. KA, this is obviously a serious threat. Given his posting quality we clearly don't want the kind of people ducky is friends with on this forum. I implore you to adhere to his demands. Having rocked in here at wtf o'clock, I gather most of the issues have been dealt with and I like the new look, but I think the direct link between articles and the forum was a major selling point for the forum and the cohesion therein, is this definitely a mothballed feature?
