Quote:
Adelaide United FC Head Coach Josep Gombau kicked off his ‘Coach the Coaches’ education initiative with a 2 hour introductory session at Coopers Stadium last night.
Over 100 local coaches were in attendance and hanging on every word as the UEFA Pro Diploma Coach outlined details of the program and content to be covered over the next 12 weeks. Consisting of 4 theory and 8 practical sessions’ local coaches will have the chance to learn from former Barcelona Youth Coach Gombau who clearly has a passion to develop young footballers to be the best players they can be.
Although specifically programmed for junior coaches, the course will also be invaluable for senior coaches wanting to improve their coaching education and find out more about the Adelaide United FC football philosophy.
West Adelaide Under 6-8 Coach Terry Soukoulis said “I would like to pass on my appreciation and express my complete admiration for what the club has started with this junior coaching program for football in SA. If the first session is anything to go by then I can't wait for the next 12 weeks. Josep and his team were outstanding and anyone who loves football would have been in football nirvana!”
Any coaches interested in attending the seminars have not yet registered, please email

as soon as possible to confirm your place. Numbers are STRICTLY limited.
The thing about football - the important thing about football - is its not just about football.

Good work from the Adelaide gaffer. I would love to go if I didn't have to work.

Brilliant.:)
I hope Gombau stays on at AU. Must admit they are becoming one of my favourite teams.
The Mariners have taken clinics in this state. Unfortunately, they haven't been ongoing.
