TheSelectFew wrote:another forfeit this time Williamstown recieve direct entry into round 3 thanks to Oak Park forfeiting there match tomorrow. Altona City recieve direct entry into round 3 as well thanks to a forfeit. This is getting ridiculous. By my count we're up to 25 forfeits across both rounds. Sebastopol Vikings and West Preston have both progressed to Round 3, after their opposition forfeited in BOTH round 1 and 2.

The Cool Ridge Cup first round fixtures are out, although I didn't see any announcement. http://www.pursuitofthecupau.com/#!wa/c1k8 There are also some more forfeits in Victoria, and a couple more to come from what I've read. Let's hope this round is the end of them.

There are more forfeits to come from Victoria. The scheduling has been terrible. Great to see Western Australia up and running. Fap fap.

I'm not sure that Football West have stated it anywhere, but I'm making that assumption for now.

TheSelectFew wrote:I really want Across the Waves FC to make it. What a name. I am pretty sure that they used to run a statewide preseason tournament in bundaberg and regularly beat Brisbane second division sides. I also think from memory they might have had a stint in the the Brisbane premier league (or whatever it was called at the time) for a year or so. I would be surprised if they didnt win their regional qualification (although to be fair i know nothing of the game up there, and certainly in the last 15 to 20 years)

I'm devastated. Across the Waves are out after a 2-0 loss to Gympie Diggers :( In the other Wide Bay game, Bingera beach Moore Park 2-1.

Another 7 midweek matches across Brisbane over the next few days. There will be high quality highlights of AC Carina v Park Ridge. I'll be out at Jimboomba on Thursday night for the match against Holland Park Hawks. Hawks currently have a fella called Dan Smith playing for them. He made 3 appearances in the EPL. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2006/may/04/newsstory.sport5
