Unfortunately not yet. Shame too as I reckon there would be a lot of talent out there.

I am still awaiting on information regarding their partial NPL model to come out. Once they come in then we are covering every part of Australia for footballers to have a pathway to the elite level. The NPL is been the best thing to happen in the last 12 months for football in this country.

I wouldn't expect the NPL NT to be brought for a while. They've got a lot of land to cover with not much players to work with. I would like to see them make some noise about joining this ASEAN super league though. Adelaide is barely closer to Darwin than Jakarta.

The ASEAN super league would be a great start for NT player. Football gives so many options.

I got a few football friends in Darwin who says there are a few ambitious administrators who want to be a bit more independent from the FFA's competitions and become more involved in competitions in South East Asia. Apparently there is a strong demand for Australian coaches to run clinics in the likes of East Timor (with 1.2 people alone) and other areas of indonesia and the FNT are wanting to explore that further with taking teams over. I don't really see an issue with the North Territory going it alone into Asia as long as they somewhat align with the NPL's recommendations in regards to youth training and staff requirements.

Tbh, I just don't see nt being up to scratch financially. Hoping that isn't the case. I want this second division to be truly national. There are some gems up north.
