English coaches have been excoriated by many in Australia over the last fire tears or so. Yet we have some coaches, English/British, trained in Australia, who have had resounding success.
Mike Mulvey - Even though many would say he has achieved, because he coached Gold Coast to a youth championship, many others , like Darren Davies at Victory, consider youth coaching to be a question of producing players with a skill set to play well at HAL senior level. It is about development not results.
Yet Mulvey has done every well with Roar seniors. The football they played to beat Victory , away from home in the second half, was the best I've seen in the HAL. Roar at tomes may be playing better football under MM than Ange P.
Fair play to him.=d>
Kenny Lowe - Apparently played a very good style of football with the WA NTC.
Now coaching in results based HAL at senior level. Haven't seen many Glory games recently.
Dean May - He has the Tassie NTC playing a very good style of football.
Ernie Merrick - Didn't like his style of counterattacking play with Victory as a much as the way Phoenix is playing. Merrick has done a wonderful job with Phoenix to date. They are playing some quality possession football. Merrick has lifted the team in results and playing style.
Phil Stubbins - Is he English?
