How this club has been destoryed by the ffa is an amazing thing.
The spirit and strenghts of this great club can never be broken.
White knights at the game want a-league license yes nick politis is one of white knights...
Cockeril, dom bossi, and heaps of media watching it all.
All olympic fans spartans dont have fans.
Great family friendly day and good football.
Promotion and relegation cannot come soon enough for australian football
P.s no police present at all and kids everywhere

To report correctly
There was a Greek Festival today at Belmore Sports Ground that started at 1pm with food, cultural stands and live entertainment. Around 5pm a NPL match broke out that a number of people stayed for ;)

Ok well I was there, and I can one hundred per cent tell you there would be lucky to have been 3,000. It was still a fantastic game, nice friendly crowd and the food was sensational and well priced. They were selling 2013 Olympic kits for $20 I was VERY tempted to pick one up :D
Anyway I have not the slightest clue where they pulled that number because the majority of the crowd including myself turned up before 3pm to get free entry (they were trying to charge $15 for a NSWPL game? Come on!) and therefore weren't properly counted. Maybe they counted the number of Souvlaki sold? (I bought two, absolutely fantastic and puts A-league stadium food to complete shame!) Most people that heard the attendance called bullshit around me too.
But take nothing away Gate4 it was a fantastic day of football, I took the missus and she was shocked how good the football was and loved the Spartans keeper in pink and purple!

All NSWPL games are $15. You can't blame Olympic for that However, Olympic are known to greatly exaggerate their crowd figures so it's hardly surprising. The sad thing is that even if the figure really was 7k nobody would actually believe them. Boy who cried wolf and all that

I'm more shocked by APIA's supposed crowd of ~5000, which if true is all so great even if only for the re-opening of Lambert Park.

My mate in Melbourne tells me that Heidelberg charged $12 for the South Melbourne game and he also went to Bullen v Moreland and Bullen charged $7. $7 for NPL more better that $12 or $15 that the Greek backed clubs were charging.

Can only talk about FNSW, surely clubs should be entitled to charge what they want, clubs more than likely don't make most of their revenue from ticket sales anyways.

A lot of people in football world have no idea how good the quality of the NSW NPL is, and thats a shame. So any initiative that gets more people to our games, the better. we ve got some great players on show. i mean look at the way matty sim or trifiro or urosevski have settled into their a-league clubs coming from the nswpl, its testament to the strength of the premier league. its an even comp, no easybeats. even the saints who have been promoted and who have largely the same team from a divison below have been very competitive and who will no doubt rack up a win soon. we had a great crowd at yesterdays game v united too. by all reports, the manly bonno game had some decent goals in it. well done to all clubs. lets hope the pl clubs get more exposure and more credit for what they do! The entry prices are the same across NPL states. These prices are set by federations
