The word from Newy is both Griff & Carney have asked to re-sign, but we were waiting on announcing our coach before doing so. I guess it's up to Stubbins to see if he want either of them now.

I really enjoyed Carney at LM for us this season. But he seemed to have little interest in defending. I think he'll struggle at a team if he is signed up solely as a LB.

Thought he was pretty good against us (CCM) in that left midfielder role. His crosses were excellent. Looked heavy but still has a good touch. With Spaghetti fingers in goal he was wasting time defending anyway. Is definitely a quality A League player IMO but might be to slow for MV. I think he should stay with the jets. If they could keep that attacking group & learn to defend they would be pretty dangerous. Would have caused problems had they made the 6 IMO. Loosing Taggart & Heskey would be pretty big but to loose all 4 (Taggart., Heskey, Carney & Griffiths would be a massive step backwords . Here's hoping for CCM sake.
