And then the few thousand on the waiting list not taking those spots up either.... The league will only keep growing and so if their capacity remains I can't see them ever not maxing out memberships. If for nothing else, it's the whole.... What if I change my mind next year and can't get back on set up. Similar to Mcc etc to a lesser extent... If you go away for a year or move interstate people often keep the membership going. Crowds might drop off, but I can't see the memberships ever dropping off whilst capacity is limited .

This might have been mentioned already. WSW moved to a new ticketing System which only allows members to renew 1 on every account. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/wswanderersfc/news-display/Membership-Renewal-Help/91243Last season we had multiple Memberships on one email address With the introductions of our new Membership system, each Member needs to have a separate and unique email address. If you had multiple memberships tied to a single email address last season, email us at memberships@wswanderersfc.com.au with your details and we will fix it for you. With a large number of Members renewing we will not be able to respond to your email instantly but we will get in touch with a solution as soon as we can. Renewals are open until 17 August so there is no danger of losing your seat if there are complications today. That member number is for mostly single ticket renewals. Fact is most WSW members are waiting for a reply from member admin to get this fixed. So in essence our member number atm is not accurate. Edited by multibet: 19/7/2014 06:37:42 PM

We wonder when it will reach neck and neck?! :p Edited by GloryPerth: 18/7/2014 04:53:03 PM lol when did sydney fc start selling memberships? the number is moving up fast 3057 so far For members the start of June. I renewed mine 3 weeks ago. Not sure when it opens/opened for new members. I expect a lot of people to hold off waiting to see whether or not the rubbish of the last few season will be repeated.

Edited by tbitm: 16/7/2014 06:18:49 PM Mariners just tweeted me that they are ahead of the same point last season... No numbers quoted though and maybe they are talking in terms of 'how far into their membership campaign' rather than date comparison to last year. Would be happy if mariners could hold steady.... I would say the same for jets but if they sign paartulu they are actually looking the goods and hopefully fans get around an exciting team under the new manager.

If they're talking about the same time last year then it would mean they're over 2,800 - they were on 2,824 on 22/7/2013.

But there is potential that like I said, they are talking about how far into their membership drive (eg they started selling memberships a month ago.... Compare that to after 1 month last year.... Regardless of the actual date) - but yeah I hope you are right and they are around 3k already

It's been a while since a signing, so hopefully our next signing injects a bit of life into our membership rate, and if not hopefully a couple hundred Ballarat residents sign up at the FFA Cup match v. Sydney F.C. . I'm really impressed by Brisbane's membership numbers by the way, great work to have already surpassed last season's total.

City is still about double what it was at this stage last year i.e. +2.5k on last year but last Friday was the final day to renew to keep the same seats so the pressure to renew will have gone. If they match last season from here on they will end up with 10k members but I'd think they have some marketing initiatives to come based on Villa and other signings so I'd expect them to beat that reasonably easily. I'm hoping that is the case because the code needs two well supported teams in the city with the muddy creek through its centre.

The members priority period has now finished, and we are delighted with the response from our members. To date, we have over 4,200 members that have joined the Club for Season 2014/15. After the renewal period last season, only 3,200 members had joined. This is a massive 31% increase on last season.
Some of our existing members have requested a seating change to their memberships, while some new members are waiting to be allocated seats. This process takes time, and to ensure you are clear on the process of allocating reserved seats, we have listed it below. If you have renewed your same seats, or if you have a general admission membership, this does not apply to you.
Members Renewal Period Ended 5pm Sunday 20 July 2014. The seat allocation process begins Monday 21 July 2014 in the following order:
Step 1 Renewing members who renew the same package, and the same seats.
Step 2 Renewing members who renewed their membership by 5pm Sunday 20 July 2104, and have requested a seating change; or who have added extra seats to their account. All seating changes will be processed from today, and will allocated depending on availability. It is not always possible to accommodate all seating requests.
Step 3 Once all Renewing Members have been allocated New members will be allocated the best available seat(s) in their chosen category according to the date their application is received.
We would like to reiterate that this process takes time, and we appreciate your patience and is quite difficult to accommodate all requests due to the limited seating available. If you have any enquiries regarding the progress of your seating allocation, please call 1300 GO REDS 1300 467 337 from next Monday.
If you have not yet joined the Reds, please click here and buy now.
Thanks to all of our members that have joined so far.
Regards
Adelaide United

Just on the malaga game, you could be right, gathering some momentum but the weather will play a huge factor. 25-30k may not be so unlikely though. Adelaide Oval 11 hours ago With strong interest in the game between Adelaide United and Málaga CF, Level 5 in the Eastern Stand has been opened for reserved seating. Visit our app or website for more details and to download the latest seating plan. http://adelaideovalapp.com/pdf/AdelaideOval_StadiumOverview_Malaga_LC.pdfThe Adelaide Oval is starting to transform for this Friday night's game between Adelaide United and Málaga. Our grounds team have removed the AFL goal posts and are installing the Soccer goals. Tickets still available - Click here goo.gl/t0PgJS Go Reds! Edited by schultzy: 21/7/2014 10:13:12 PM

It's not ideal, but At least it's a big name game here in Adelaide and the Oval doesn't have a Running track as Berlin's Olympic Stadium does, home of the DFB Pokal final ( German FA Cup Final) nor is it the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban where our boys lost 4-0 to Germany in WC 2010. Plenty of football around the world played on 'Ovals' in recent times, the yanks play the occasional game on Baseball Diamonds...at least we don't have to alter the pitch dimensions as our American cousins do(typically a small pitch at minimum dimensions) just to get a game!

It is interesting that you cite two stadiums where the infield is narrower than Adelaide Oval in your defence of the ground. There are many ovals in Europe with an athletic track around them but depending on the layout of the jumping pits most are between 20m and 40m narrower than Adelaide Oval. Large format ovals like Adelaide Oval are third order stadiums when it comes to watching rectangular pitch sports and FIFA recommends that use of them be avoided if possible but when that is all you have it is what you have to use.
