Which indeed is a good reflection, follow up, to the strong growth last season. Just emphasising the spectacular growth down to those two. Also, club-to-club, some like Phoenix, Jets and some others may be a little behind where they were at, same time last year? And to be conservative, I doubt Glory, Phoenix, Jets, Mariners or even AU will grow that much more. So thje heavy lifting remains with Victory and seeing if City, Roar and perhaps SFC can continue to defy expectations.
Hopefully Clinton can post one of his graphs on the rate of growth, come next month. It is most definitely slowing, now with more renewals over and it could slow a bit more. Roar's potential growth is unknown territory too, as too City. They may already be near 'maxxed out' or run out of steam - it would be remarkable if they grew much further. Roar fans here have speculated as to why the delay over Roar announcing 10k - but if Roar really haven't quite reached that mark yet, then that also shows the growth already peaked. People have high expectations for City, but how measurable Villa' short-term arrival will be to memberships, flexi memberships, beyond what we've already seen... he may boost ticket sales, but not so sure about many memberships - especially as he's only here 10 games.

poor results from brisbane broncos and great results from the roar are happening
if we consistently do well in the acl that will bring more credibility to our league too

Processing some of the renewals that had difficulty has brought Wanderers membership tally up to 14,239 this morning.
Edit: Now 14,275.

True, from that page they use this thread at the source so I have no clue why it's there. Not sure what fts uses, unless they have inside sources since they generally been the first to update Perth and Adelaide. I think I'm just gonna bombard the nix's twitter till I get an answer.

See the following member email: I am rather bemused at the halt in memberships post malaga/renewal period, hopefully picks up closer to the season with the hype that will be created around our first home game vs victory at the oval. Quote:I am Pablo Sánchez Alberto, new signing for Adelaide United. I am excited to be here in Adelaide, playing for your club. My new team mates have told me the Reds members are the best in the league, and I can not wait to see you all at the first match.
Thank you for joining the Reds as a Member this season. The Club has nearly reached 5,000 members and I want to help the club go past this number. If we get over 5,000 members by 5pm on Friday, I will give one member a ball signed by me.
This is the first thing I have signed since joining the Reds so it is a very special item. Please encourage your friends and family to join us, so we can play in front of big crowds every match.
Today I was on my first episode of The Pitch. If you missed it, click here to watch.
Thank you

An interesting article regarding crowd figures for both NRL and AFL this season which seem to go against the trend of rising membership figures. Apparently total memberships for NRL clubs is 254,000 (pet memberships counted?) which is a 12% increase from last year, however crowd figures are down a tad. Let's hope we don't witness the same fate with the A-league. Here's the link for anyone interested in reading the article: http://www.afr.com/p/lifestyle/sport/nrl_afl_aim_to_get_fans_back_in_iH8lpI95JpmxImFaoTKk8K

I've been told that we apparently had in excess of 17 000 paying members last season. This is inclusive of supporter and out of towner memberships.
Don't know what to make of it.

Don't know what to make of it. The last figure mentioned by the club was 16,904 so 17k+ is almost certainly correct.

Interestingly the HAL needs 158,750 to have equal membership numbers with the NRL based on the number of teams. Were not doing too badly really, the next few years before the next tv deal are very important though, it will be interesting to see how we build from here.

In terms of the AFL the adelaide teams seem to be the only ones bucking the downwards trend, entirely down to Adelaide Oval. With the Crows currently sitting above Collingwood with the highest average attendance with 1 game left.

Big jump by Sydney this week... up 600 and growing fairly consistently.... can't see their memberships dropping from last season now. If anything, i'm expecting an increase (from memmory they had 10,300 or so last season)?
Victory counter down again, may mean an update is coming.
Melbourne City have slowed down again but are still tracking quite well.
Wanderers not an issue about their rate of growth because they will always max out.

With more than a month and a half to go, we should be able to attain another 1200 members by then without too much trouble let's hope.

Don't, just don't....don't let me get my hopes up..... Haha but in all seriousness, i think the loyal man himself would finish up at Liverpool and retire but you never know, would have thought the same about ADP....

last year on august 22nd... TOTAL Aug 22/13 = 63,611 TOTAL Aug 22/14 = 74,104 Variance: 10,493 or 16.5% increase
Yes, i realise that Perth hadn't updated last year. But on the contrary: Victory, Wanderers, Jets to name a few of the bigger membership bases, all started selling memberships at a later date. Whilst the 16.5% increase can only be used loosely, i believe there are plenty of indicators to suggest that we may maintain that increase by round 1.

Either Brisbane Roar have hit the peak, holding back for whatever reason, or are just slack. Honestly thought we would have hit 10k by now, heard others say were are just below. Who knows, would just like an update ffs :D. Don't use twitter, have asked on facebook but never get a response from admin.
