So every club except Newcastle is up on last season, and they aren't really that far down. I think Newcastle's membership at that point of time, to have that many members was massive for them. To have doubled Brisbane same time last year is huge. Like you mentioned, they're not that far off the mark. All clubs have done well thus far.

SFC - 9054 according to our counter.
Some good numbers will be brought in over the coming weeks with the Cup match at Edensor, and I think cracking 10k before October would be fantastic for SFC after all the shit over the last 3 seasons and the post-ADP era. Would expect a fair few 5-game memberships to be bought considering how massive our first 2 months are (City home, Wanderers home, Mariners home, Victory home). Very positive in the Harbour City amongst the faithful! The part-time supporters may buy into the Club's vision this season big time too.

We have really slowed down in the space of one week. We're selling about 2,200 a week at the moment based on the updates. So say the other 5 clubs bring in 800 too, means we're selling about 3k a week which will be roughly 14k more until the season starts. That would equate to 94k-95k. Better than last year but would be really good if we could hit 100k by game 1.

Not bad with still over a month to go till the season starts. Thats still only including full season memberships for the Roar too.

Edited by Stabilo: 5/9/2014 04:09:37 PM Really, well thats really good. So with a month to go maybe get another 350 full members then all the other memberships we could hit 11k. Just happy we got an update. Edited by MrBrisbane: 5/9/2014 04:14:51 PM

The Maco wrote:not to sound like a bitter but brissy hit a wall hard, especially if they were trying to hold off an announcement till they get 10K still a great effort Agreed - MrBrisbane, we were speculating about this weeks ago and seems you were right. The issue is things have just slowed up soo much. Hence the massive delay. It makes logical sense though - like some kind of horse race analogy, Roar bolted out of the gates nice and early and signed up a mass of core support as a result. They apparently peaked with their sign-ups, not too far beyond surpassing last season's record membership base (8k). So squeezing out 1.5k more with still a month before season start, is still exceptional by any measure. But expecting too many more, may be expecting too much? Is the well almost dry? Though MrBrisbane, you are right, these are still full members, so come the Flexi's/Limited Game packs, we could easily tack on a couple thousand more. And like good old snowball effect, the more there (9.6k), the more who will want to associate in some form - so friends, family and other casuals of the present member base may be roped in via those limited game packs, indeed? :-k Edited by GloryPerth: 5/9/2014 07:30:03 PM

But another 600 in the next month until the season start plus you could expect this to increase as the season nears. And we are probably talking 11k Brisbane members by round 1. That's full memberships. So you'd expect them to end up with 11-12k plus however many other memberships. And tbh... As some speculated only the other day including myself. I'm just glad it wasn't an error and it was just a slowed rate. Overall I think this is a good announcement and they are still on track for a 50% growth on memberships from last season.

Actually I think it's a bit ambitious tbh, to expect any more than another thousand? Seems they will scrape to 10.5-11k full memberships, if that, and then will be topped up by the Lite Memberships etc... As MrBrisbane said, Roar have told people on Facebook that Lite Memberships etc... will be released soon. So that will produce a second purple patch, for a period - 15 people or so liked one comment from a FB user who said they had been holding out for the 'Lite Membership packs'. So, it seems the full membership base all but topped out for now - the remainder hanging on for the limited game packs.
Makes us keen to see the impact that 'limited game packs' will have on others - particularly clubs like Sydney FC, Adelaide United and the like. Victory too - that may be their second wave propelling them above 20k? Glory, Jets and Mariners will see their expected mini-boost too - Mariners back up to 5-6k, presumably - like last season.. Glory and Jets are a real variable, especially Glory as to their potential top up limit. Jets may 'max out' at 9-10k members again, but could Glory reach beyond 6k for once? :-k Alot rests on how well Glory kick off the season - still alot of reservations surrounding Kenny Lowe's re-appointment and too how that was handled.
City we have no idea on the potential max!! :o I wonder what boost they will get from limited game packs - just for Villa's stint alone?! A couple thousand more? That will take them to 10-11k. :-k

Yea i think last Season we had around 7,500 full memberships then the added other Memberships took it above 8k. So there should be around 500 from the other membership packs at least you'd think going from last year. You just have to wonder as well, are these regular supporters being Members for their first time, 3 game members upgrading to full, New supporters that saw the GF etc who knows. 11k is my high target, i reckon we will get close with all the memberships, just have to wait and see. Its just great to see every club on par or close enough and improving, love it.

Given we have five weeks to go ...
Adelaide United: 5,009 .... say 6,500 Brisbane Roar: 9,663 ... say 11, 000 Central Coast Mariners: 3,900 ... say 5, 000 Melbourne City: 7,404 ... say 9, 000 Melbourne Victory: 17,008 ... say 21, 000 Newcastle Jets: 7,203 ... say 9, 000 Perth Glory : 3,800 ... say 6, 000 Sydney FC: 9,054 ... say 11, 500 Wellington Phoenix: 2,600 .. say 4, 000 Western Sydney Wanderers: 15,449 .. say 16, 500
Total = 81,090 maybe 98, 500 plus the first say four weeks of the season start ... 110 K looking doubtful...

I suspect we can factor in some 'snowball' too - so an natural increase on that 500 or so we saw last season too. If we go by FB talk etc... seems there are a fair few hanging out for the limited game packs and as I mused before - there are surely even more friends, family and co seeking to see some games but not willing to commit full season, like their full membership buddies. So naturally, from a 9k base, those numbers fitting that category, should be a bit larger.

Could be up the City, Heard someone saying they expect 11-13k Members i cant see it though even will Villa. Should make 100k though. I predicted 95k a couple months ago, I may be right... I think City are a big variable - it's entirely possible they could be true benefactors of the 'season lead-in', 'limited game pack' second wind that so many have speculated for their clubs. Because limited game packs can function perfectly for those casual punters who are only keen to see Villa. Get a 3, 5-match pass, double-header pass - just looking at the fixtures, the games Villa will be here for are: 11 Oct - Away to SFC 19 Oct - Hosting Jets25 Oct - Away Melb Derby31 Oct - Hosting AU8 Nov - Away to BR 16 Nov - Hosting CCM 22 Nov - Hosting SFC30 Nov - Away to WP 7 Dec - Hosting BR13 Dec - Away to WSW That's 5 home games plus the Melbourne Derby! Including that 'double header' or back-to-back home games, with Mariners and SFC? And the debut home crowd is always a booster, for every club, so same could be for City, with walk-ups, casuals etc... so again, if they like what they see, may get more 'late sign-ups' for these sorts of packs? :-k They will surely get a 14k+ crowd for that opening home game?! :-k FTR Heart's largest home crowd outside of the Melbourne Derby, seems to be a 13.7k crowd for SFC's visit, Feb 2013, circa height of ADP fad. So that's the mark they could challenge for some of the non-Victory games, during the Villa period, atleast? :-k Heart's only other 10k+ crowds, outside of Melb Derbies were: -Debut home game, 5 Aug 2010 (10/11 season), hosting Mariners. That drew 11k. -Debut home game, 14 Oct 2012 (12/13 season), hosting Phoenix. That drew 11k. -Visit of Wanderers, 12 April 2014, final home game of season (13/14 season). That drew 10k. That's sadly it. 4 games over 4 seasons. Thankfully City have come in and given the second Melbourne team the big boost it desperately needed! I suspect that will surpass that 4 game mark (Outside the Melbourne Derbies) within this coming season. Hopefully SFC and BR's visits will be especially big fixtures, as those will not only be the last two opportunities to see David Villa live, but also two big matches against two quite appealing visiting teams. Could be potential blockbusters/Matches of the Round too, if City get off to a good start to the season? :-k Edited by GloryPerth: 5/9/2014 11:29:01 PM

I honestly don't know. I still get member e-mails from Glory, but don't recall one mentioning this? :? I remember the source for the update before, for 2,500 - that was revealed via their official Twitter, here are the last announcements I could find, via that official Twitter: As far as I can tell, we got the 3,800 figure via 'From the Stands'? Hopefully Glory can update us, by end of this month, or just prior to season kick-off? We don't mind waiting, just as long as we know they'll give us an update? That's the issue with Glory - unlike other clubs, we can never be sure if we'll EVER get an up-to-date or especially 'final figure' on memberships. Others may be slow too, but atleast we'll know they'll announce a total, at some point (E.g. Like Roar just did!)! Edited by GloryPerth: 6/9/2014 12:06:36 AM

No offence GloryPerth but your club is appalling at communicating with the fans. What sort of response is that. All i wanted was an update for all of us. So either they are lying or they really don't want to disclose numbers. He could have easily done me the favour. I think i may continue to pest them until they either block me or disclose the number.
