I am skeptical as to whether the roar membership is really that high.
The article has a few errors including calling Perry Park, Parry Park

Yeah, have to concur with scepticism - need clarification, additional, reliable sources to give the actual, updated, figure. In any case, A-League.com.au will ofcourse post the updated figures of all the clubs, in just a couple days. From experience, those figures should be as up-to-date as atleast today or so. So we may have an answer, clarification, then? Either way, their figures are astronomically fantastic - even excluding caveats over limited-game memberships now being released/included in the figures! BTW TBH The Fin Review's figures might be accurate, as that IS on the back of their opening home game and with a decent crowd, that makes for alot of casual or late deciding punters, rocking up and signing up for memberships, on the night? Also, hope the home loss/negative result, didn't put off too many. A few of you longer time Roar fans worried of an on-the-field let down, with all the masses finally coming on-board after a steady several years of growth. But Mulvey and the team did well last season and we all hope Kurtisi and others can deliver - I too would like to believe Roar are greater than Berisha and they were successful before him, under Ange (When Barbarouses there) and while Broich still there, they can still be a force. Tight game against a rising force/project in AU. Potentially two of the top contenders of the season in the eyes of some. So far from any cause for panic, for Roar. Hopefully they're back with a vengeance, come the next few games, including next home game! Edited by GloryPerth: 13/10/2014 03:39:28 PM Speak for yourself. Personally, I hope he is a disaster and that the Roar miss the finals. You are a weird Glory supporter.

Interesting figure for BR if its true. Disappointing that only 16K turned out for the season opener if that is the number, it does give an indication of the clubs core support though. Also does this include other memberships or just full season? In the past all the numbers I've seen have just been full season, i feel that is no longer the case, although i hope its not as i hate the AFL number fudging that goes on due to the inclusion of pet memberships and whatever else. The numbers for full members aren't all that different to ours when you look at the breakdown, although comparing the two is not that useful.

Lol Biscuitman - my name deceptive, I'm just as much an A-League supporter and not too one-eyed for Glory. Roar are kind of my second team too - despite the GF controversy those seasons ago. :p
Damn is that all Roar drew? That's only just above their crowd average for last season aswell! Hopefully they can draw more, next few fixtures.

Really hope they crack 15k and play well, 2 strong Melbourne teams and Sydney teams and a strong Brisbane team with a rival would be the backbone to set the League up for a solid long-term position, and enable areas like Canberra, Wollongong, Ipswich, even Tassie and Gold Coast a future in the game. Would ensure good broadcast viewers and strong TV deal revenue.

City 9,275
Seem to be tracking at the same rate as this time last week, and with good reason as there are still 13 home games to play. I can see us reaching 9.65-9.7 by match day Sunday and then hit 10k just before the derby.

One of the train lines was down, as usual so that always hurts. Our highest attendance for an Adelaide game at home was around 17k, forget the exact figure. We always draw the biggest for Sydney, Victory 2nd and Wsw and City will be high as well.

Called AUFC membership line yesterday to discuss an issue with my AO seating. While on the phone I asked him what member numbers were at, he went on to tell me "Just over 9500" I said that cant be right the club have sent out numbers of around 6500 just a few days ago to which he responded "I was suprised to see the jump too, but I think we had a number of corporate memberships clear in the last few days"
God knows what this means or what the guy is smoking but thought I would share.
