Small risk, he only played eight games last season in Serie B (starting just two) with Ternana after being frozen out of promoted Sassuolo, where he only played in five games the season before. That's only 557 minutes of Serie B (and cup) football in two seasons.

Still, hope he kicks on for us, without eating too much cap space.

How is this possible? No way Valeri comes home on the cheap. And heard Milligan still hasnt signed shit and is currently counted inside the cap ("incredibly premature announcement" is the phrase being thrown around), but Archie IS inside the cap now. And Gui is inside the cap, and would be getting paid a dickload, otherwise contract talks wouldnt have gone on so long. Also doubt "Traore cash" would be much after coming from GCU. Not to mention Coe would probably be one of the highest paid keepers in the league.

Reference to me thinking Milligan might be off? Don't think that it is orange and lemons. If Celeski does come back, and Valeri is actually a MV player...then it'd look even more likely that the club is expecting Milligan to want out/expect him to leave.

Traore was apparently $175-180K per year so that's gone, Gui would've got a pay-rise but who knows how much the increase was. Milligan is outside the cap, the club doesn't have to give him a new contract for him to count as a marquee, since Archie signed a reduced contract they can just say he's the marquee now like Adelaide did with van Dijk and Brisbane did with Broich. They've also removed whatever they were paying Rogic and Troisi from the cap so things definitely haven't reached SFC levels of ridiculousness

Valeri has stated his intentions in the past. He has said that he'd like to play in the HAL at an age where he will contribute on the pitch. And, at 29, I think that is exactly what he is planning on doing.

Also, doesn't hurt that his Mrs. is from Melbourne either ;)

Gatty reporting a 7 figure offer has come in for Millsy and that MV will accept - probably from the Middle East.

I don't see why we cant match any $$$$ offer from the Middle East unless we have confidence that Valeri can replace him and we're lining up someone else for our Aus Marquee spot. Chuck a couple of million at Atlanta and bring in Jimmy.

I do question of Milligan even wants to stay at MV.

I say take the money and bring Troisi in as marquee, along with Celeski.
