How did Celtic deserve so much more? All their shots were from distance and straight at Buffon. The one chance - the header from 6 yards out - should have been put away. But alas, Juve soaked the pressure in the first half and then dominated the midfield in the second when Celtic couldn't keep the pressure up for 90min. Pirlo took control of the game and Marchisio, as always, played out of his skin and had a hand in all 3 goals. Most underrated midfielder in world football.
3 clear chances, 3 goals in the apparent fortress that was supposed to somehow make Celtic win with their hacking and hoofball - which emptied before the final whistle and all you could hear was the Juve fans

Forza Juve i really didn't think celtic played too much "hoofball" i was pretty surprised at their style to be honest - i thought they tried to play quicky with posession and keep with well measured passes. only had a few too many touches and lacked the firepower which juve had. marchisio is a gun

Celtic have always played good football but because not many in Australia, especially the SBS lot don't watch them, they believe they are just like any other Scottish team.

Granted your sound post BB re SBS comment, like another free to air station they are not alone having their own agenda's, I don't watch either by the way. As for the Hoops, yep sure they have played some sound football for a long time I don't consider them a hoof footballing team but the fact of the matter is playing in the Big pool just as the NT team they come up short, effort is superb especially spurred on by home support but you know most times its just never going to get over the line. 3zip at home is a shellacking as we all can agree, great job done by Juve but maybe there is some cred on comment re the whole spl scenario but the same can be said of LaLiga to a degree. Anyway bring on the 2nd leg.

Good goal Ronaldo.
Inevitable really.
Also that earlier free kick got van Persie in the head. Must've seen his life flash before his eyes.

1-0 Donetsk. Gret free kick goal by Srna! Langerak would've saved it.

SBS are having their regular language news service. I guess I will stick with the BBC live updates. Will catch the last 20 when I get in the office. Thanks

Lewandowski with a massive air swing which puts his 2 markers off balance only to have an eternity 4 metres in front of goal to slot it into the right corner.Valuable away goal

-PB la liga playing style gives him more time and space to operate, astute choice. plus RM's midfield are pushing fairly far forward, which helps my two cents, anyway
