You know its a bad decision when the commentators don't even look for excuses for the ref's incompetence. Even they're slamming this fucking idiot. I hate it. As a neutral I wanted to watch a good football game and it hasn't been the same since that Turkish Twat forgot how to do his job.

If you cant see why it was a red (not saying it should have been given) then you're delusional.
-Studs up -Catches the player in the chest
All this talk of intent is bullshit. A foul is not given by the intent behind it, at the end of the day it was reckless play and can be given.

Credit to Fergie for his team selection & tactics. Credit to the Man Utd players carrying it out until the red card. Wellbeck starting was interesting, but he was the best player out there until the red card moment.
Madrid looked extremely slow on the ball for one of the fastest attacking sides out there. Ronaldo especially looked like he didn't want to take the game on.
The better team lost and Ferguson finally has a reason to complain about the ref.

It was a red no doubt about it, wreckless having your leg up so high studs up - jim8695 your description is correct imo. Funny through that 2nd half I was saying Ronaldo isn't in the game - then he turns up at the right moment. As ok as Wellbeck played a couple of front chances he had I thought what if Rooney had those chances.

It wasn't a challenge though, it was an attempt to control the ball. It was a complete accident. Yes a foul, even if the ref wants give a yellow, you can kind of understand it and accept it. To send off a player, suspend a player for 3 games for trying to control the ball is wrong.
All opinions of course but from a players perspective, not one player will agree with that decision. Common sense is not used often enough.

Lol yeah heard he backed the ref as well... take what he says with a grain of salt really as he was always one for questionable tackles haha :P

It's no surprise with Roy when he is working as a pundit. Don't want to say he is paid to talk against United but whenever there is something controversial, he is always the one of the two who takes the other side. It makes for good viewing and gets people talking.
Entitled to his opinion on it as is everyone though.

I didn't see the game, but I saw a gif of the tackle and it looks borderline red, definite yellow.
