Genoa may be interested in Burns. Genoa have for some years been trading partners with AEK. Genoa purchased Sokratis Papastathopoulos from AEK in 2008 and in 2010 came calling for Panagiotis Tachtsidis. Both are former team mates of Burns. Another formerAEK forward Daniel Tozser is also a Genoa player. The Greek connection goes deeper with Genoa more recently taking possibily Greek best young footballer, attacking mid, Ioanis Fetfatzidis from Olympiacos.

Fetfatzidis has been linked to EPL while Tozser has been at Watford. It would be too early to know how many foreigner spots Genoa will have but the attraction would be getting Burns on a free during the summer window.

So this isn't a rumour, just you being bored during the off season and dreaming up scenarios.

It's just a rumour. I'm also hearing him coming back to AEK. But AEK are not back in the Super League yet, so I do not think that one is likely at all.
