BRAZIL PLAYERS PUT UNDER 24 HOUR POLICE PROTECTION 07/08/20140 Comments Following Germany's 7-1 rout of Brazil in the World Cup semis, all players on the Brazilian squad have been put under police protection, effective immediately until Brazil's third place match on Saturday. "We just need to be sure that these guys will be safe," police officer Ang Ryfan said through a translator. "I'm pretty angry myself." Police have given the protection they would have given to Neymar and Thiago Silva to Julio Cesar and Fred. "Everyone loves Neymar. Silva is great too," Ryfan said. "Fred sucked the whole tournament. If I had to pick one guy who we should keep a special eye out for, it would be Fred." Beside Fred, Brazilian police say they have been keeping special tabs on goalkeeper Julio Cesar as well. "Never have I seen someone want to go to Canada so badly," Ang Ryfan remarked. "Although I don't know if even Toronto FC wants him back. Yes, his defense didn't give him any help, but ultimately he let those goals in." Even though Cesar made some great saves during the tournament, Ryfan admits his fellow fans will only remember him giving up 7 goals to Germany. "We hadn't lost at home in almost 40 years and this badly in 90 years," Ryfan exclaimed. "Why would you expect any different response from us fans?" If there is a bright side to such a predicament, the riots in the streets of Brazil against their government have ceased due to the loss. However, street fires have broken out right and left due to the immense number of Julio Cesar jerseys being burned by fans. http://www.themudball.com/home/brazil-players-put-under-24-hour-police-protection

Not surprised to see Germany go through, but that score is ridiculous. Makes me even more angry that Brazil went through to the Semi by hacking Colombia to death. They would have given the Germans a really good shake, I think.
Why are the Brazilians not playing beautiful football any more? Take Neymar out of the team and they might as well be a Bunch of European hackers :(

I remember a certain team winning and Asian Cup semi by a big margin but losing the final. Germany will have to be very smart about the final because Holland or Argentina will offer so much more than Brazil. Argentina to make the final for me. To me this game doesn't reflect in any way how good the Germans are. Not to say they haven't been good, but this result is totally down to Brazil. And Brazil score. There you go.

Have they hit their peak now?

The Brazilians and their attitude that it's their divine right to win this cup have been making me want to vomit all tournament, and then David Luiz hold's up Neymar's shirt at the anthems as if he'd fucking died or something. Get. Me. A. Bucket. So, so happy they're getting absolutely stuffed!
Edited by gooner4life_8: 9/7/2014 06:56:37 AM They way Brazilians have reacted to Neymar's injury is really pathetic. I understand they are incredibly passionate about their football but the conduct of their football analysis has been incredibly hypocritical. 99 times out of 100 Neymar would of walked away from that challenge no problem. Edited by sydneyfc1987: 9/7/2014 07:32:12 AMEdited by sydneyfc1987: 9/7/2014 07:32:29 AM Neymar still has a massive way to go to end up like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and in my opinion, Kaka. Couldn't agree more. Had a chance to put himself in that category at this tournament, but he was invisible against Chile and Colombia.
