Cromulent wrote::roll: Sydney FC linking themselves with another player for media attention with no intention of actually signing them Except this isn't Sydney FC linking themselves with another player for attention. Fox Sports wrote up the article in their rumour mill, and the only common link is Lou Sticca. It doesn't mention Sydney want him, it just mentions that it's up for the A-League clubs with a marquee spot remaining to make a play for Ronaldinho.

Eh? As much as I'd have to resort to attending games wearing a adult diaper due to constant ejaculations over the great man, I doubt this will ever come to more than this. A few years ago Sydney inquired directly, and IIRC for nothing more than a 10-game guest stint. His agent came back with a rather hefty price fee for $2 million. Per game. It got no further than that. If he did come out here, it'd be for a final pay day, and I can't see him wanting any less than that. In any case, I reckon he's happy in Brazil. If he wanted fast money, all he'd have to do is go to the ME. Sheiks would be lining up like camels for his signature. But if he wanted quick fast money, he'd have gone to ME ages ago.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

I can see him going to MLS. We/ME can't offer the celebrity lifestyle like America can.

He only charged $2 mill for the game because it would have been a novelty and a big crowd would have attended, the same thing like when Beckham came to town. Obviously he wouldn't charge that per game for a season. And it looks like he will hold a press conference tomorrow regarding his next move. So highly doubt it will be to aus, seems he already has something lined up.
