Last night while making dinner I decided to grab the closest I could find Robin Williams movie to have playing in the background. It was Man of the Year - and even that was a decent movie I thought.

He showed almost the full range of what he was capable of in that movie, from the manic to the serious, dramatic and restrained. One minute he could make you laugh so hard your guts hurt, the next minute he would punch you in exactly the same spot.
What a genius.
Dead Poets Society is one of the best education films a kid could through during high school. An absolute milestone.

Finest film - Good Will Hunting.
Finest performance - Moscow on the Hudson. If you haven't seen it, do. He learned to speak Russian fluently for it and a large part of his performance is delivered flawlessly in that language.

Insomnia. One of the best foreign adaptations Hollywood has done.

Jumanji was my childhood movie
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

-PB One Hour Photo Bingo! That shit was creepy as fuck. -PB Basic rule of thumb with Williams seems to have been - the less he moves, the creepier he is.

When I was a kid I watched Toys, that was creepy to a kid. Now it seems like a nice family film

-PB One Hour Photo Bingo! That shit was creepy as fuck. -PB Less Creepy, more sinister headfuck. It certainly wouldn't have the same impact today as it did when it came out.
