In all honesty i don't think the law can reasonably sentence a person given the emotion of being robbed. Not trying to sound hard but if i came home and found someone in my house i'd probably chase them with the rock pick in my work car and try to ruin a calf muscle.

For this case, it was his business that was broken into. They were stealing inventory, not his personal possessions. If he doesn't have business insurance for inventory that he is intending to sell and therefore has zero sentimental value, it's his own stupidity.

As for cases of rape and murder in the home, on the very VERY miniscule percentage chance that this was the case, don't you think that the invaders (who by all account know who lives at the house because of their purpose for entering) would have already accounted for my presence?
