The Victorian coppers always liked to shoot people up far more than other state police forces. Maybe Qld is trying to catch up?

On all that how come they can't shoot some of these blokes with a tranquilizer dart of some sort. Particularly when they have them surrounded and in a stand-off situation. (Or one of those net guns they use to catch dear from the helicopters in uNZud.)

The other week the fella was sat in his car for hours on end while the police talked to him.

No I'm not talking about when police are charged by a lunatic with a knife or a gun.

There are plenty of states in the US that have introduced 'stand your ground' laws.

A man pleaded this defence when he entered his 'unoccupied' rental property to find two sleeping squatters... Naturally he shot them in the head whilst they slept because you know, liberty and all.

There are better reports out there than this one obviously, but considering they were intruders, I'd like to know what 433 and the like think about this being justified?
