My wife and I are starting up our own business and would like to give it a plug. Before I post anything, are there any issues with members promoting their own business on this forum (assuming that there is no conflict with any current 442 sponsors etc)

We looked at suppliers from China and Taiwan and the quality was crap. They also somehow manage to make their Sunnies for under $1.

We end up going with a manufacturer from Mauritius.

We are aiming to have the website up and running on the 1st of Jan which will have all the online sales. We are probably waiting for about 12 months before we try and get them in shops although we may get them into one shop down here in Torquay over summer.

We originally were going to go with Stolen Eyewear but couldn't trademark it as Sony Entertainment had trademarked the word Stolen against Sunglasses for some reason. We spoke to a few trademark attorneys and they advised us to forget about arguing with Sony as it would cost way too much. The cheaper option for us was to change the name.

I don't know how to attach a photo to a post otherwise I would. I haven't shown it on Instagram or Facebook as we are yet to have the proper photos taken. The ones you would have seen and taken by the manufacturers and are not the best quality
