If coal mining is such a robust industry, why does it need my submissions?

Nah, not happening. Feel for the blokes and their families if they hit hard times, but coal has had its day.

My submission wouldn't be helpful. It would be about enabling coal workers to cross skill into renewables for a soft transition when coal inevitably goes the way of the horse and carriage.

Why does it always go back to homosexuality with you?

Yet wankers like Palmer, Tinkler and Gina the fat fuck are billionaires. I don't think you'll get sympathy from the working class. Hoping that Newcastle finds and alternative and quick otherwise it could turn out like Geelong.

Put it this way, what else is Newcastle going to do? Start up wind farms and solar complexes? Turn gas fitters and diesel mechanics into sustainable builders? Yeh no....

Also Coal/Gas won't die. APLNG just spent billions. They WILL get a return on their investment.

Slowly maybe, but it's going down. Just read up on Vattenfall to see how much of a catastrophic fuck up an energy company can make when it pours too much money into resources that are no longer wanted by huge proportions of people, businesses and governments. They lost USD4.6 Billion last year alone, and have further depreciated by another USD2 Billion since. Should add that the Vattenfall is a completely government owned enterprise, not some privately owned fuck up.
