Yeah thats not on. Sad really.......no way my boys would do that, no chance at all.... Funnily enough I was on the news this week looking a bloke in the eye giving him a firm handshake and a smile, Mr Andrews was his name, good to know that impresses you.

No joke, back in my day all we had was ABC and 5a on the telly, and on the radio ABC local, one commercial station, and one community station. And this was only ten years ago.

My kids don't call anyone Mr or Mrs anyone. It is a little jarring to hear it but I don't arc up.
Would prefer that youngsters showed a bit of deference to their elders once in a while but the world's moved on I suppose.

The annoying thing about Pinnaroo was we couldn't even pick up stations across the border because Murrayville didn't (and still doesn't) get any terrestrial television! This little town in Victoria had to get a deal to get satelite telly just to pick up Imparja from the Territory.

Mate of mines family purchased a Beta video recorder back in the day...supposedly better quality than VHS
Who remembers when you had to pay for a membership at a video library...and they weren't cheap either

Frustrating if there was a movie you wanted and they had it in Beta but not VHS or vice versa. Also there was that shitful moment when you got home and some prick hadn't rewound the tape. They introduced a fee after a while for that.
