Thought I would start one of these.
Solid figures tbh. could be a little higher, but obviously a consistent interest by football public.

For a two hour delayed telecast on ABC those numbers are huge. Would have had 800k+ if it was live.

Australia has to be the only country in the world to delay live Sport. They the rights to show it, why not live? Anyways, ABC1 is only in SD. Glad i bought a BeIN SPORTS subscription which is in 720p HD and show all the matches. Edited by griffindinho: 12/1/2015 12:54:54 PM

I'm waiting for the channel to go HD first. It wasnt live because fox sports own the rights and sold it off to ABC on delay, the Final (and maybe semis and quarters) will be Live though.

Surprised by the amount of BeIN channels. They must cover every single League in the World to have that many. Which isn't a bad thing if you buy their package

Based on these findings alone. Fox would be mad not to rent a FTA channel, or a channel time slot. Maybe we should be elaborating/analysing other Countries Pay TV deals with the FTA market. Apparently I forget where I read this, some Pay TV companies have been buying up FTA networks in a bid to expand. Fuck as long as I don't watch too many commercials all the time I'm happy. Sad the Asian Cup is only on once every 4 years
