@MediaweekAUS: Mon STV #AC2015 #IRNvUAE 33k #FoxSports so is it rating around what the HAL rates on fox? in terms of attendance this has been a big success, i wonder if the FFA will think of bidding again in the near future. I think the AFC are enjoying the set up for this tournament.

2015 HAL is rating an average of 65k on fox. 2015 Asian Cup is rating an average of 92k on fox, 56k if you remove Australian games. Three of the last 5 games havent even been reported (not making the top 20 cutoffs at 41-45k, and not reported by mediaweek on twitter) Crowds are averaging 16,393 (12,454 for non Australian games). HAL is currently at 14,298 ave for the 2015 season. Crowds are well ahead of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup (ave 11,569, 8,181 without Qatar) Full details - http://www.footyindustry.com/files/ffa/media/tvratings/2015/2015HALRatings.pngEdited by AlbertBenSimon: 20/1/2015 08:57:52 PM

It's two games simultaneously now though, surely that has an effect.

Millions tune in to Socceroos quarter-final on ABC http://www.socceroos.com.au/article/millions-tune-in-to-socceroos-quarter-final-on-abc/e9j4g5q5x4bp1g1fur6nv4uxe#6CrTs7DJi2dCFPoA.99 Friday, 23 January 2015 - staff writer Comments Tim Cahill’s heroics in helping the Socceroos beat China in the Asian Cup quarter finals was seen by almost two millions Australians. In stunning ratings figures for free-to-air network ABC, over 1.8 million people tuned in as Cahill’s superb brace on Thursday night booked Ange Postecoglou’s troops a semi-final spot. The Socceroos will meet the winner of Friday night’s last quarter-final between Japan and UAE in Newcastle next Tuesday. “Our live broadcast of the Quarter Final on ABC TV reached over 1.8 million Australians, and as all eyes turn to Newcastle on Tuesday, we expect support for the Socceroos’ Asian Cup campaign will grow even further as we cover all the action live on ABC TV, radio and online,” Head of ABC Sport and Events Justin Holdforth said. The ABC TV broadcast of the Quarter Final between Australia and China reached over 1.8 million people (metro + regional) It was the number one program in Sydney in its timeslot with 220,000 viewers and an 18.9 percent share, and in Brisbane 122,000 viewers and 15.1 percent share. The Socceroos’ group stage matches all reached over 1 million people on ABC TV. The opening match against Kuwait reached 1.1 million Australians; the match between Australia and Oman reached 1.05 million; and the final group match where Australia lost to South Korea reached 1.04 million. Watch all the action on Tuesday night live on ABC TV and ABC iview from 7.30pm AEDT, with live coverage also on ABC Radio and ABC Online. Updated for yesterday http://footyindustry.com/files/ffa/media/2015AsianCup.pngpaladisious wrote:When do those regional ABC figures come through? Mediaweek publish both metro and national figures on twitter from time to time. Regional can generally be assumed by subtracting one from the other. Example: Thu TV #AC2015 #CHNvAUS ABC metro 4 markets 618k (+ Perth ABC2 61k) Thu TV #AC2015 #CHNvAUS ABC *UPDATE* metro+regional 873k Note that my figures have assumed the 61k for Perth was included in the metro figure, pending any clarification. Wonder what figures we can get for the Final on Saturday?
From what I can tell, we may only really be up against the Women's AO Tennis Final, which will certainly give us an advantage to get some very good numbers.
