NPL3 Granville vs Rydalmere

7-1 to Rydalmere. Granville missed a very simple chance to take the early lead but after that it was all Rydalmere, who were 5-0 up by half time.

Mayora was playing centre back and had 1-2 assists from some great long balls that were excellently finished by the strikers.

They've got a deadly sign. Come back from 2-1 down against Dully to beat us 7-2. Their field is a shocker though.

Rydalmere have got serious money don't they? They've got Lloyd Owusu still???

Is that where Matthew Mayora has wound up?

From what I've heard they do. Owusu is there, not sure about Mayora.

Owusu came off the bench late in the game. Shane Webb was also playing.

Definitely too strong for this level. They will be in NPL2 very soon I think.

Another 3 points

Spewing Blacktown scored in stoppage time, we would of been 8 clear with a game in hand.

Anyways, 5th place is really heating up, numerous clubs could potentially make it.

Not a Phase, Not a Trend, SYDNEY UNITED till the END!

I think their ground will hold them back. They are currently third in the club championship behind Hills and Dunbar who both play on artificial turfs.

Agree but re the artificial grounds.
Sure great when we've had dumps of rain but give me a good turf well drained pitch any day.
Rydalmere just needs to get that ground levelled and then would great.

Problem is, who has a good enough grass field at NPL 3 level? I can't think of anyone. Most fields are open to the public at this level so you'll never get to see a well maintain grass pitch.

I'm sure you know of Jensen Park Regents Park, one of the best grounds imo PL3 level, I expect only rep football play on.
Look I was just saying that despite the level a good grass pitch beats synthetic anyday, its purely the more logical surface in todays world.

Norval was dropped.

Rockdale looked very much out of sorts. A long way from the brilliant side we saw in round 1.

How has old mate Canak been for Rockdale.
Saw a comment on facebook, some Rockdale fan complaining about Bonnyrigg supporters telling the Muslim Rockdale player to go eat bacon LOL, thats gold, dont pray on a field which has been blessed by our church I guess.

Lol @ Racism, we have a few Muslim-Serb supporters, they dont find the need to pray next to our goal. Go do it somewhere private not on our field in full view of everybody, you can do whatever you please but when you do it on somebody elses property that's a different story.

He will be a decent signing, heard he shopped himself to over half the league and wanted $1500. At 33 dont really see most clubs paying that kind of cash.

Sound 1nil to United in Waratah Cup Final at Lambert park.
Good Sunday arvo crowd as well.
Nil nil at HT and within the first 10mins of the 2nd United pounced with some quick passing I think it was Shin putting his shot away right side of the Manly keeper.
Good tussle rest of the half but the size and height advantage showed the stumbling block for the smaller Manly.
Ref was a bit soft at times, resulted in 2nd yellows to both teams playing the 15-10 10 a piece.
Manly, play well but I was surprised the coach didn't change their tactics - they were hardly going to threat with the high ball, I watched 1 pass played behind United backs to their good left wide player who through the game when given the chance near on won every one on one down the flank and getting the ball crossed.
All up nice arvo of football - well done United, I can't seen them dropping many games the rest of the season.

the burn

Bilic, Paric injured and Vrlic not on team sheet, who has featured in parts this season.

as for Pete Marks Comments, he was a great service to United, devoted 19 years to the club, top bloke, however he wouldnt be fit to start in our current 11, he played for Marconi as a CB and we whipped the floor with them... not saying it's his fault, but Bosnar and Uskok are a much better fit.

TBH - not many Croats going around in the league, the only one i would take is young Vranic.

The 3 finger to 2 finger ratio is still too high ;)

There is few Cros in the league who are good, but shit probably hit the fan. All too common with Wogs and our clubs.
