Overrated as fuck

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

He's got offers in Europe. Why would he come back to the HAL?

Maybe in another 2 years if his next move doesn't work out. But by then his career could be truly stalled.

Desperately needs a Bundesliga 2 loan now that Borussia Dortmund 2 are going to be relegated. That will be the best path for him I reckon.

I always found Amini to be lazy, or maybe just that he didn't have terrific engines. It always confused me how he was seen as this 6 or 8 type midfielder, when I've never thought he's had the physical capacity to be one.

Anyone in that Mariners midfield would have looked good. Perfect example of people going apeshit over a player who didn't actually do much but he's young ZOMG CAP HIM

Needs to stay in Europe and test himself before taking the easy option to come home.

Interesting thought. How long will he survive under Popa only running on 3 cylinders?

I didn't think he deserved the hype when he broke out in the A-league, but thats not to say that he can't have improved dramatically at Dortmund.

I wouldn't really mind if he came back for a season or two. It's pretty clear that he would have learnt much more over there than he could have here, so coming home a much better player, having a few seasons of regular first team football in a league that's getting better every year and then a transfer off back to Europe straight into a first team would be a good move imo.

Depends what kind of offers he has in Europe, I think at his age and the position he plays he needs to start playing regular first team football.

You'd be crazy to think he didn't improve his technical ability being around a club like BVB. I'd be more than happy to see him test himself at Parramatta for a season!

I'd be very excited to see Amini play in the A-League again, since it's been a couple of years since I've seen him played. His technical ability would of improved a fair bit at BVB, but he needs regular game-time. If he can't get a regular spot in Europe, I'd love to see him back in the A-League.

I remember his debut at the SFS and just being so impressed with his forward passing and ball control. The guy was probably overrated by those who expect all young players to become premier league quality, but it was obvious that during his debut he was already above HAL standard.
